Cayo Santa Maria, Cuba
Cayo Santa MarÃa is a small island off Cuba’s northern coast. It’s known for its beaches and water sports. Playa Las Gaviotas beach, in the northeast, is backed by the lush vegetation of Cayo Santa MarÃa Wildlife Refuge, which shelters birds such as the Cuban trogon. The Pueblo La Estrella complex features a handicraft market, restaurants, bars and shops. Dolphins perform at the Acuario Delfinario Cayo Santa MarÃa.
Melia Las Dunas
Located along the pristine shores of Cayo Santa Maria in Cuba, the family-friendly Melia Las Dunas offers fun in the sun for guests of all ages. Head to the beach and unwind under the shade of a palapa or enjoy some fun in the sun with non-motorized water sports like windsurfing and catamaran rides. Mini-vacationers can have a blast at the on-site kids club and their own pool and the whole family can enjoy cultural shows and live music on the main boulevard. Treat yourself to a relaxing massage or beauty service at the resort spa ($) and work up a sweat at the on-site fitness facilities or with a game of tennis.
