His Version…

Carla and I met at a Caribana boat-ride (“Red Ride”) on July 31^st 2017.  I was actually in between jobs and decided to take a break and enjoy my summer.  It was nearing down the end of the boat ride so I went on the deck to relax. There I saw Carla 2 feet away from me. I said hello and she said hi.  As we started to engage in conversation, I sensed she was in a bad mood because of a couple other guys who tried to talk to her before.  In my mind, I said this wasn’t going to work because it was my first impression.  At the end, she gave me smile then asked “so you are not going to ask me for my number?”. I said to myself “not with that attitude”.  lol

Anyway, we exchanged numbers and decided to meet up  a few days later at the Caribana parade.  For some reason they changed the parade route….To add to the confusion we couldn’t talk because of the noise and bad connections. Carla was playing mass as well so we were continuously texting each other.  Finally, we got to a point where we were close to finding each other and then a masquerader accidentally knocked the phone out of my hands and shattered it. Long story short, we did not see each other that day.  I told myself this probably wasn’t meant to be

However,  some way, somehow, we were able to connect the following day and went to an annual family event.  I immediately noticed how she instantly bonded with the family.  Everything started falling into place suddenly afterwards and I thought to myself, it’s a good thing we didn’t let our first impression block this blessing 😊

Carla has a big heart, determined, persistent, likes to laugh, loves her family and treats my family and friends as if they were hers.  We share similar interest in our love for the Trinidadian food, music, humour and much more. We both love to travel and plan to visit Africa, other parts of the Caribbean, Asia and Europe.  I personally admire that she is a God fearing woman who not only understands the order that God has placed in a relationship, but genuinely takes her assignment as a child of the almighty father to heart. Our love for each other is everlasting and our actions are guided by the spirit of God.

Her Version…

As most of you already know (and for those of you who don’t or just simply forgot) Ronnie and I met during the Caribana Season July 2017. We were sailing on Lake Ontario on a Boatride called “Red Ride.”

Fate was definitely on our side because we met roughly 20 mins before the Boatride ended. Within that 20 minute conversation is where the chemistry began. His Trini accent hooked me in!

We both started courting in full effect and met each other’s family shortly after. In a short period of time we both learned that we had so much in common, and literally lived 10 minutes apart. Now that’s FATE.

Both of us love each other unconditionally. We love praying, fellowshipping, spending time with family, eating delicious food, wining, dining and travelling.

Ronnie is a loving, helpful, funny, generous, ambitious, intelligent, fun, family oriented God fearing man! I cannot leave out and “extremely good looking.” We have become a match made in heaven…he dots my I’s, crosses my T’s and finishes my sentences.

Our two hearts have been beating as one, ever since our first date at Starbucks. To celebrate our Union, we ask that you mark our wedding date on your calendar, and please RSVP on time.
