It All Started When...
Our Story
In the year 2020, our love story began with a simple swipe, a digital spark that would ignite a flame of romance neither of us could have ever foreseen.
We met the modern way: by swiping right on Bumble, during the height of a pandemic where social distancing and social bubbles were the norm. Our text conversations were effortless, as if we were old friends catching up after years apart. They were full of humor and shared interests of food, travel and love of our families. After a few weeks, we decided it was time to meet in person, despite our nerves and despite the then social distancing protocols. We hit it off right away! At a time when the world was so uncertain, we became each others’ certainties.
Fast forward a year to July of 2021 and we moved out into our first home together. In April 2022, when the world of travel began to open back up, Jenny surprised Adam with a trip to Jamaica for his 40th birthday. It was then that we realized we couldn’t wait to travel more together, to see the world and experience different cultures together. When we came home from Jamaica, we decided to start planning a trip to Thailand!
7 months later, we find ourselves in Thailand celebrating our love for food, travel and meeting family we’ve never met! During our third week and sixth city, Adam had planned a special dinner at the Shangri-La in Chiang Mai. They had a Michelin star dim sum chef visiting from Malaysia who prepared a special meal for us! Adam barely ate anything, and Jenny ate everything and asked him why he wasn’t eating. It was then, that Adam got up, walked around the table and got down on one knee. It was a dream come true.
After four years of loving each other, in sickness and in health, our love for each other and of travel has brought us to this point. Flying away with our family and friends to celebrate our union in a tropical paradise would be the greatest of gifts.
